When You Can Report to the POLICE…

REMEMBER – Fireworks after 1am on New Years Eve ring the police on 101 – remember to log on our form too http://bit.ly/2dYeoYK

Fireworks are legal to use 365 days a year from 7am to 11 pm. Exceptions to the 11pm rule : Bonfire Night (12 midnight), Diwali (1am), Chinese New Year (1am) and New Years Eve.(1am)

Fireworks in a public place report on 101 at ANY time
Fireworks used by under 18s report on 101 at ANY time

YOU MUST ASK FOR AN INCIDENT NUMBER OR IT WONT BE LOGGED !

Government ask Police for firework reports – if you don’t report to the Police when the Government check nothing will have changed – giving the government a ‘get out’ of its not a problem – It really is UP TO YOU TO REPORT

If your neighbour likes to use fireworks on a regular basis, 2 or 3 times a week this constitutes a noise nuisance and you can speak to your local council.

Sorry we cant do more than give you government guidelines

SIGN HERE please to help FAB stop random fireworks. Read our HOME PAGE to see what we are about…

Please report every incidence of fireworks you hear on our FIREWORK LOG. We are collecting data to prove to the government that random fireworks do occur……They insist fireworks are mostly limited to traditional dates already. We know that is not the case.

Please WRITE TO YOUR MP and let them know how you feel.. If you don’t tell them they will continue to deny the problem.

FAB are asking the government to restrict public USE of fireworks to traditional dates. That works out about 10 days a year. So you can still have them in your gardens around Guy Fawkes and New Year, Diwali and Chinese New Year.. There will still be displays and fireworks competitions as there are now, just no random unexpected fireworks to frighten people and animals.

Silly season in full swing

Please remember that the use of fireworks will increase over the next week or so. Please put a coat and your wellies on and pop your dog on the lead and accompany them outside if they need to toilet. Dogs, cats along with other animals are likely to run in fear from the sudden explosion. 5 minutes in your coat stood in the cold could save you hours of heartache. We are logging all incidents of firework use to prove to the government they are used outside of the traditional dates (Bonfire Night, Chinese New Year, New Years Eve and Diwali). If you hear them please  log them on this link. bit.ly/2dYeoYK Remember your pet may not be frightened but there are many who are.
