Between September 2019 and October 2021 at least 120 people died in firework factory accidents across the world and at least another 240 were injured.

These are just the headline figures that we have picked up. We have no idea of the true number.

As fireworks are imported into the UK from these countries, we feel it is pertinent to include these figures.

As a country that has stringent Health and Safety laws, a country that endeavours to be a world leader should we be importing goods that we know cost lives?

We as a nation are appalled by child labour, cheap labour and our imports reflect this with the high street beginning to look to source ethically.

The consumer should know how the people who produce fireworks live and die.
